He married ELIZA JANE STEVENS born ca 1827 in Green County New York. Their first child, IRVINE GERMAIN was born in New York State in 1845,followed by CATHERINE born in 1847. The family is in the 1850 Chicago Illinois census.Eliza Jane Germain died in Durham, Green County New York in 1863 GEORGE H GERMAIN in Chicago Ill in 1870 census, after which he disappears. I have been searching for this family for over 5 years. ANY leads or help is truly appreciated. Dorothy (Germain) Bulmer
I'm searching for further information on my great grandfather. His name was William McKinney, born 1815, SC, according to census records. He married Elizabeth Pigg Wakefield, about 1 March 1840, in Lincoln Co., TN. Elizabeth was the daughter of John Pigg and Delilah Pigg. One census record showed Wm McKinney and one showed him as H William McKinney. They were in Lincoln Co., TN for the 1850 and 1860 census. Elizabeth and most of the family were in Hill Co., TX by the 1870 census and she was head of household. The last two daughters, Eliza and Bettie are living with her. Their children were: William Henry, John James (J J), my grandfather, Nancy Caroline, Mary Josephine, Joseph A, Eliza, and Bettie B McKinney. I have a copy of a letter that A H McAllister wrote the family when J J McKinney died, and in it he stated that William McKinney died in the summer of 1867. Albert McAllister married Mary Josephine McKinney. I will appreciate any help with a death date and location, etc for William McKinney. My mother told me that her dad, (J J) was born in TN and also had lived in MS, although I have never found any proof of this, unless you count the time he spent in MS during the Civil War! Search for birth date and obituary for William Wilmot Rigby and Mava Loretta (Fitzgerald) Rigby. They emigrated from Canada to the USA in 1916, first settling in Hibbing, Minnisota. From that time on no information can be found. Have been working on this brickwall for years with no success. Is there someone who can help me? I thank you in advance for any bit of information involving this family.
My main line of research is the HARRINGTON line. My brick wall is my 5thgreat grandfather, Johnathan HARRINGTON, born 1731 in Killingly Ct. I have a copy of his original birth record and it says: son of Abigail Robbins with no father mentioned. The history books and other researchers have many theories as to who his father was but no proof. His son was Samuel Harrington also of CT. Samuel Harrington had Johnathan Harrington who lived most of his life in MA. I am looking for any information of the HARRINGTON'S of Berkshire County MA., ESSEX & FRANKLIN counties in NY. I have not been able to find any information on my WELCH family of Essex County NY. Another brick wall I have is on my DANIELS family. I can trace my 4xgreatgrandfather's roots back to Rockaway, NJ. His name is Chalion DANIELS, but I have no proof of who his parents were. My DAVIS line is very hard to trace because the name is so common. My great grandmother was Clarissa Davis born 1864 in Sangerfield, Oneida County, NY. From her d.c. I know her father was CHARLES DAVIS, however no mother was listed. The CALL family I am researching was in Northern NY, mainly Essex County. The McCormick family I am tracing is originally from Ireland, relocated first to VT., then to MA. The LATHROP family I can trace back to England, then CT., then my branch in NY state. My greatgrandfather Horace Lathrop's mother was Thankful Moon and I have not been able to find any information as to who her parents were. She was born abt 1820 in NY. On my maternal line I am researching, SHERWOOD and LaViolette from Cornwall Canada. I would love to hear from anybody researching any of these families. Renne Harrington

I'm missing Robert Charles BROCKLEHURST born Oct. 16, 1866 in Michigan. He's listed on the 1870 census, and the only surviving son in 1891 in his father's obit. His sister Emma died in April 1935 her obit said "she was the last in her family." This is all I have to work with for Robert. Anna BROCKLEHURST born June 1, 1864 in Michigan was last spotted on the 1900 census living in Cook. Co. IL. She "might" have married a SHEHAN/SHEEHAN. I'd be forever grateful for help locating these 2 people! Mary in west Mich. [email protected]
