    1. [GENEALOGY-LOOKUP] Hammond
    2. Phyllis Marsh
    3. Seeking the name of William Martin Hammond born in NY 4 May 1815. died 27th day of April 1905 His early days were spent in the vicinity of Buffalo NY. his wife Almeda Henry and two children Francis Marion Hammond and Melville Henry Hammond are buried in NY. In 1877 he went to California and married Loretta Mann they had one daughter Pansy. In the papers of Paul Hammond, William is mentioned as being the son of Benoni Hammond by a second wife. Who is this second wife? When William Hammond was born Bernoni Hammond and Ruth Lobdell were married 1 May 1803 and Ruth died 17 Sep 1863. Perhaps Benoni Hammond (16 Feb 1784-24 Dec 1866) left a will that would clear up the matter of his son by a mysterious wife. Perhaps there is a birth record for William Martin Hammond listing William's mother and father. Was this mysterious wife from Canada? Benoni and Ruth had 13 children from 1803 to 1830 and my mysterious William Martin. Hammond was born in 1815, right in the middle of their marriage. Please can someone help me clear up this mystery of where William was born and his parents?. > [Original Message] > From: michael sandridge <[email protected]> > To: <[email protected]> > Date: 4/1/2007 6:55:25 PM > Subject: [GENEALOGY-LOOKUP] ROLL CALL > > Lets do a Roll Call. The only sighting of Robert is on the 1870 census, but he was the only surviving son listed in his father's obit in Oct. 1891. Anna was last seen in Cook Co. on the 1900 census. It was thought Anna married William SHEEHAN/SHEAHAN/SHEHAN. This is one of my brick walls. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Mary in MI. [email protected]

    1. [GENEALOGY-LOOKUP] Surname Roll Call: Caleb Marshall
    2. Sorry, I forgot to add the name to my first email. Hello, I'm seeking information, and hopefully photos, of Caleb Marshall (1834-1900), his wife, Maria Gaulton and their family. Caleb was a well-know architect and church builder in Newfoundland. I'm not sure where he was born, but I believe he lived in King's Cove and possibly St. John's. I hope someone might have some photos of Caleb, Maria and their children, especially their daughters Lucretia and Annie, that they would be willing to share. It seems odd that there are no photos of Caleb, given his notoriety. I would greatly appreciate any help in this matter.
