My brickwalls are the parents of Thomas Andrew, born 3/15/1824, died 6/30/1900, of Caroline County, Maryland. His parents are probably from Dorchester County, Maryland though. My other brickwall in the parents of James Madison Lomax (1801 or 2-1862). He was supposedly born in Baltimore and then lived and died in Talbot County, Md., but I am beginning to think he may have been in born in Charles or St. Mary's County, Md., or in Va. Brick Wall Roll Call: Daniel W. Hinkley/Hinckley born: abt 1812 NY Married: 1844 Summit Co OH Spouse: Eliza Brannon/Branon Unknown anything more on my Daniel W. Hinckley/Hinkley. Elizas' parents Robert & Mary Brannon/Branon RE: 1850 Boston Summit Twp Census page Eliza & Daniel next door to these people who I assume are her parents as the marriage record states Eliza Braman could have been misspelled.
In 1860 I find my Eliza (Brannon/Branon) & husband Daniel W. Hinkley living with these people in Lorain Co OH. Can not find anything more on these people. Could they be my Robert & Mary Brannon/ Branon who were forced out of their home in Boston Twp Summit Co OH where they were living in 1850? As Eliza & Daniel were living next door to them as well in the 1850 census. Could they have changed their names and ages, places of birth as possibly they owed money and could not pay? As I find two of the youngest daughters Mary & Elura (sp?) could be Clara "keeping house" in (20 two different households in Lorain Co OH in 1860 census. Possibly Geo W. (short for George W.) in Company F 76 Ohio Infantry spouse Martha (unk) filed for Widow Pension in 1900. Unknown what became of Washington & Perry. Daughter Margaret said to have married Silas Kimberk/Keinbeck. Elura, Clara possibly married Sherman Leach. Mary Brannon possibly married Patrick Dunn.
Hi all- my cousins and I are looking for information regarding Joshua Stroud Fletcher, born 1785 in Delaware, died 1825, we believe in New Orleans, as his entry on the War of 1812 Pension indicates he died either in PA, or NO, and we have found no record of his death or burial in PA. he was married to: Eliza Evans born 1785 in PA, died in 1876, in Philadelphia, buried in family vault in Lafayette Cemetery(no longer exists). Their children were: Joshua Stroud Fletcher James Washington Fletcher Benjamin Evans Fletcher Mary Ann Fletcher we have a lot of info regarding Joshua's and Eliza children, and their grandchildren, and we can trace Eliza's family back to Wales in the 1600s, but we aren't sure about Joshua's parents. We believe them to be Samuel and Elizabeth Stroud Fletcher, and we believe that Samuel was born in England, and he and three brothers went to MA in the late 1700s, Samuel went to Delaware and started a plantation, but we arent certain, we cant find records of Joshua other than War of 1812 records. according to the War of 1812 pension info he and Eliza married in 1806, but we cant find a record of it.
