I had to look up SJW (Social Justice Warrior), but it appears that Squawker took some material from a satire site (cracked.com) a bit too seriously. I didn't intend this to become a political conversation, though I must admit that SJW and other acronyms are flying about in US news. Apologies for including it. Thomas Anderson's caution is probably a good one. I am distressed to see legitimate DNA testing getting a bad rap from anyone. The Cracked article (which I hadn't originally looked at) is even worse. If any of that is correct, where does that leave us? I doubt if Marleen will be happy with this thread. Thank you, Ann Turner, for pointing out that the source (Cracked.com) is a satire site and therefore the entire piece is nonsense. Let's close this discussion. Genealogists come in all political stripes and there is no point in a) giving more time and space to erroneous garbage or b) letting divisive politics derail cooperation on our shared hobby. <http://www.avg.com/email-signature?utm_medium=email&utm_source=link&utm_campaign=sig-email&utm_content=webmail> Virus-free. www.avg.com <http://www.avg.com/email-signature?utm_medium=email&utm_source=link&utm_campaign=sig-email&utm_content=webmail> <#DAB4FAD8-2DD7-40BB-A1B8-4E2AA1F9FDF2> Karla Huebner calypsospots AT gmail.com On Mon, Dec 11, 2017 at 12:40 PM, Ann Turner <[email protected]> wrote: > I had to look up SJW (Social Justice Warrior), but it appears that Squawker > took some material from a satire site (cracked.com) a bit too seriously. > > Ann Turner > > On Mon, Dec 11, 2017 at 8:08 AM, Elizabeth O'Donoghue/Ross < > [email protected]> wrote: > > > I think that was Squawker labeling the 23andMe results fake.
