Does Full Genomes still accept donations of BAMS? We have 9 Big-Ys for our small, almost unknown subgroup, and a couple of the newly-discovered branches have unnamed SNPs. What is the fastest way to get these SNPs named? Will FTDNA do it? Members haven't yet decided whether to submit their BAMS for analysis and are asking me what they will get from Y-Full or Full-Genomes before they decide. I think we can make reasonably accurate TMRCA estimates ourselves using the method explained at Y-Full's website. Second question: Is anyone researching the Nordic branch of M-253? Our L1275 subgroup on the S4795 branch which is below CTS6364 and parallel to L22. Lindsey
Hi Lindsey, Yes Full Genomes still accepts BAM donations (though the SNPs will not be named). You can send the link(s) to [email protected] along with a note indicating that they are being donated for inclusion in the FGC comparison database.
