    1. Re: [DNA] Can a FTDNA project admin download a FASTA file all their project member's HVR1&2 results?

    3. Not to my knowledge. What is your goal? The FASTA file might not be what you want anyway. This is from memory, but I seem to recall someone with just HVR results downloading their FASTA file, which turned out to be padded in the coding region with CRS values. That plays havoc with assigning haplogroups. Ann Turner On Tue, Nov 14, 2017 at 6:25 AM, Peter J. 3. My goal was to test out http://www.phylogeny.fr/simple_phylogeny.cgi  where I can paste a set of sequences in the FASTA format.  I have a large FTDNA project with mtDNA results. 3. So you wanted to create a phylogenetic tree based solely on the members of the project? I just did a spot check of several individual members of a project I administer, and they were all set to not allow FASTA downloads, even those who gave permission to display their coding region mutations to the GAP. There might be some utilities to convert the CRS differences to a FASTA file, but I'm not sure you'd end up with anything very satisfying. Ann Turner On Wed, Nov 15, 2017 at 8:50 AM, Peter J.
