I'm not sure if this fits your situation, but the ICW tool is just checking at the person level, not the segment level. ICW simply means your cousin (on your match list) appears on the other person's match list. It doesn't actually look at where you match on a chromosome, nor does it examine surnames/location. Well Ann, that was certainly informative information. It lead me to look up the ICW tool to review again, which led me to the article by Roberta Estes, Increasing “In Common With” (ICW) Functionality at Family Tree DNA where I learned that I have not been using this tool to it's full advantage.
