One of our elders mentioned somewhere that "having pictures on your DNA kits' profiles encourages your DNA cousins to be more responsive when they receive a note from you." Make sense. But I can't figure out how to add profile pictures to my AncestryDNA kits. Does anyone have any suggestions? I can't click on my kit's (empty) picture next to their name on their kit's "home page" (e.g. https://www.ancestry.com/dna/insights/[kit-ID <https://www.ancestry.com/dna/insights/%5bkit-ID> ]) because although it's a kit in my account, it's not "my" kit. I've already assigned profile pictures to these folks' entry in my tree (to which their kits are linked), but those "tree profile pix" don't seem to be "upstream-transitive" to the kits' AncestryDNA profiles. Any ideas, oh gurus? Best, Eric
Eric, I see your problem. I also administer several kits for family members also at AncestryDNA, and when I go into settings for their test, no where on the page is a setting to add a profile picture. I'm wondering if it's because their test is administered. When I look at my matches, none of the ones who have an administrator have a profile pic. Sorry I couldn't help- LeeAnn On Mon, Sep 18, 2017 at 7:01 PM, Eric S Johnson <[email protected]> wrote: > One of our elders mentioned somewhere that "having pictures on your DNA > kits' profiles encourages your DNA cousins to be more responsive when they > receive a note from you." Hi Under the new ancestryDNA system you have to create a new free account for each person's kit and then transfer the management. to yourself. So in each account you will be able to add a profile image. Shame you can't seem to do it under the old system. Mike in a sunny Droitwich UK
