Thank you for your replies.  I have an old account under my real name at Ancestry and I will definitely change that after I order my kit.  The second kit is for my mother, so consent is not a factor.  I wouldn't use her real name either.   This is a difficult decision for me.   I have never had nor wanted a tree at Ancestry, but will have to create one if I hope to get good results.  Does Ancestry take information from customers' trees and use it for Ancestry's benefit? Lindsey
