It may be their DNA, but if I am paying for the test, I expect to control of the account--otherwise, I wouldn't be willing to pay for the test. The reverse is also true--those who aren't interested in genetic research probably don't want to pay for DNA tests and I don't want to suggest that they should. Lindsey ********************* Depends. If they want me to manage the kit, I have it sent to me, I register it under their name but with my email/p/w, then send it on for them to take. If they want to manage the kit themselves, I send it straight to them. Their DNA, their choice. Can they still sign only as Cousin Alice or Jane or are they required to provide personal information? If they are, they might not be willing to take the test. Last year I had the kits sent to me because the cousins lived in the same area. This year one cousin lives nearby; the other does not. I would like to have her Kit sent directly to her, but you are right, in that case I would have to provide her mailing address, if not her whole name, although I could delete both as soon as the Kits were shipped if I use my e-mail address for the account. Since I am paying, I think I should manage the accounts, and I doubt that either cousin would want to manage her account anyway.
