Ann I've downloaded all the COA spreadsheets over the years. Everyone who shares genomes gets one. I sort them by Chr & Start; find my name on their list; highlight the overlapping area on their list around my segment; then compare those names (in the highlighted area) with the same area on my spreadsheet. The Matches in common Triangulate! I match the COA person, and we both have the same Match on overlapping segments. This Triangulates my 23andMe Matches who have taken the COA survey (some of them haven't shared genomes with me.) I also offer to send this sorted spreadsheet to the Match, in exchange for their email;>j Jim - www.segmentology.org > On Nov 1, 2015, at 4:42 AM, Ann Turner via <genealogy-dna@rootsweb.com> wrote: > > For people who are downloading hundreds of files, what are your plans for > using them? I also download CoA lists for people I share with as they come in, but I'm not planning to download an update for everyone, just for my known cousins.
