Don't know if it was a sr. moment or if LW BCC'ed genealogy-DNA... but I only answered LW for this question. Just going to say I don't "know" any programmers in the "Biblical sense".  But both daughters are programmers, my bro-in-law programmed, andall of my various engineering/physics fellow students programmed.  And we made a coffee cup for my bro-in-law with a flow chart on it of how to spend a morning which had just the kind of bug I mentioned below.
