In the existing system, one of my frustrations has been this scenario: * I extend a sharing invitation to an anonymous cousin * they accept the introduction, but decline sharing So, they are not anonymous to me. What will happen to these intro-only connections in the new system??

Brooks, I asked exactly this question of Christine M in the "DNA Relatives changes for the new 23andMe experience" thread, but no reply. I wonder if they even thought through all the different scenarios. I have a number of these "accept contact, decline sharing" matches, who are still anonymous to me. It still just says, Female or Male, instead of a name. Some do appear with name after accepting contact and declining sharing, some don't. Will we lose the anonymous matches who accepted contact only? Will we see the shared segments of the others who accepted contact and do have a name, but declined sharing? I guess we'll have to wait to find out after the transition.
