hoping someone can help - i am finding the conversation confusing. when i reach countries of ancestry, the colored graph does not show many of my matches. i do not find a place to download individual matches, just an option to download a csv file of all of my matches. this downloads on my computer to a file with 1105 matches. many are anonymous, but others map to individuals who have not responded, and i can determine the cm's on individual chromosomes, though not sure about the location ( possibly " SegmentStartInMegaBasePairs" and ". SegmentEndInMegaBasePairs" ????? what are people doing when they are downloading individual matches separately, and how are they doing it? do you obtain additional information? thank you for any clarification. Gretta We are downloading the full countries of ancestry CSV file, sorting the file and then using copy and paste for the rows of data we are interested in. Countries of ancestry currently has a 1000 name limit, the extra 105 rows are when a person shares multiple segments with you. (Each different anonymous person has a number attached and counts as a name) RPaine -----Original Message----- From: gretta gribble via Sent: Sunday, November 1, 2015 10:38 AM To: Karla Huebner ; genealogy-dna@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [DNA] Questions about the new 23andMe; Suggestion need hoping someone can help - i am finding the conversation confusing. when i reach countries of ancestry, the colored graph does not show many of my matches. i do not find a place to download individual matches, just an option to download a csv file of all of my matches. this downloads on my computer to a file with 1105 matches. many are anonymous, but others map to individuals who have not responded, and i can determine the cm's on individual chromosomes, though not sure about the location ( possibly " SegmentStartInMegaBasePairs" and ".
