    3. Two different "Adams" are being discussed here: one who started "humans"; and the MRCA Adam, who lived much later. The MRCA Adam's age can be estimated using Y-DNA (and refined as we sample the human race better.) The time of the original human on an evolutionary scale cannot be fixed in a person, or determined by Y-DNA. He existed within some wide evolutionary range. The time of the original human on an evolutionary scale cannot be fixed in a person, or determined by Y-DNA. He existed within some wide evolutionary range. This the pitfall when one coins a human name with a type of human species. It makes a convenient reference point and pop culture tag, but can be misleading and cannot be readily define. Lee
