    3. I tested the end of 2013 which was after health was discontinued and about the time they switched to the v4 chip. I am v4. My understanding was that 23andMe planned to complete v4 transitions by the end of 2015. Messages to v4 people said by the end of the year which would have been Dec. 2015. The v4 transitions were not done in testing order; that has been obvious from reports from newly transitioned people. Early on one of 23&Me's statements suggested that some people administering mixed kits would be the last transitioned, but I've not seen that mentioned since. They have transitioned some v4s that are administered by people with both v3 and v4 kits. My use of 23andMe has slowed to comparing only Open sharers and sending invites only to new people who aren't open sharing. So far majority of my new people are Open Sharing. Unfortunately few others are selecting that. Perhaps they miss that option or don't understand it. I certainly don't get the impression that "many or even most people should have transitioned." My kits haven't and few people are announcing that theirs have (or at least few are stating that all of theirs have). My kits are v3 and those were not going to be first, but I think that's what the majority of kits are. > > -- Karla Huebner calypsospots AT gmail.com ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to GENEALOGY-DNA-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
