    2. Me too, actually I get response rates ever. Within 24h I get 30% responses from non anonymous matches to both my mum and myself. I even got two people who had "Don't want to share" on their profile to send me (!) a sharing request. Just in that period I found 5 new triangulated groups and added lots of new DNA proven cousins to others. 3. I'm trying new, urgent, invites to my 23andMe Matches from the largest (over .50) down. It's boring and tiresome, but the larger segments would be more important to my mapping, and being closer, maybe easier to find a CA. I have hundreds above 0.20, and am trying to share with as many as possible. I'd rather get intermediate cousins mapped now, than distant cousins. I'll reinvite all 1,500 if I have time (on break now) Jim - www.segmentology.org > On Oct 26, 2015, at 2:01 PM, Robert Paine via <genealogy-dna@rootsweb.com> wrote: > > Karla > I assume that when 23andme changes Dna relatives all outstanding invites to > anonymous matches will be canceled and you we will need to send new > introductions and invitations to the larger matches, matches smaller than > your cutoff point will likely be dropped from your Dna relatives list. > > We will need to wait to see if the new software systems work as 23andme > expects them to. 3. Karla It has not changed. By far most of my invites are older than 30 day. When you call it up to cancel the 23andMe message either says 30 days have passed or the date within 30 days you'll need to wait, and then asks you to confirm the cancel. If it's a 30 day one (about 1,500 of mine were) I continue. If not I cancel out and leave the current invite. The next option is to resend the old message, or replace it with a new message. I always use a custom message with links to my Tree, a Steps to Success List, my GEDmatch ID, email, link to my blog...; and now a "last chance" notice. So there's an extra step in the process. 3. Is anyone else having difficulty signing in to 23andMe at the moment? For the past 5 days, every attempt to sign in has been met with an error message ("A site error has occurred. We have logged this error, and will be working to fix this problem as soon as we can. Thank you for your patience.") I sent a message to 23andMe using the contact form on Saturday and haven't yet received a reply, but just wondered if anyone else was having the same problem. With the forthcoming changes to the site, I am already quite concerned about losing data (as I currently have 2658 matches on my DNA Relatives, and another profile I manage under my account has 2246), as well as having messages to reply to. With the new 2000 limit to DNA Relatives, I can imagine the change will result in me losing a lot of my anonymous matches who haven't yet accepted an invitation. You can try clearing your cache (saved web pages) That might help -----Original Message----- From: B Griffiths via <genealogy-dna@rootsweb.com> To: Rob Warthen <rob.warthen@dnagedcom.com> Cc: genealogy-dna <genealogy-dna@rootsweb.com> Sent: Mon, Oct 26, 2015 7:36 am Subject: Re: [DNA] The New 23andMe Thank you for your reply, Rob (and the others who have confirmed they can access the 23andMe site with no problems) Unfortunately, clearing cookies doesn't help (and I do usually search for the site, rather than using any saved links). I've tried logging in with both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge (and an ipad) and get the same result in each case. I've also tried changing my password. As it was around the 21st October that I started being unable to log in, and I notice, from the Help pages, that some information has been changed as of that date, I do wonder whether they have already begun to make the other changes and perhaps something in that has affected my account. But, if no-one else is reporting the same, then I guess I shall just have to wait until I hear back from them, and hope it's something easily fixed.
