Searching for family of George W. Thompson born about 1835 in CT according to his marriage records. Parents are J. Thompson and L. James. He possibly spent time in Pike Co OH before coming to IL at about age 15 around 1850. Civil War records revealed nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
