Hi Everyone, This is a quote from the Connecticut State Library page. You can see yourself at: http://www.cslnet.ctstateu.edu/vitals.htm "The original vital records for most Connecticut towns from inception to the present are in the custody of the town clerk. Public Act No. 96-258, "An Act Concerning Access to Genealogical Records and the Validation of Certain Marriages," provides that birth records less than one hundred years old are only open to certain parties including the individual in question, his/her guardian or legal representative or a member of a genealogical society incorporated or authorized to do business or conduct affairs in Connecticut." There is a link provided to the list of gen societies which are authorized. Good luck, Hope
