I've seen a lot of posts about the name HALL on this list of late, so I though I'd take this opportunity to ask about my great great grandmother. What I know is limited. According to great grand father's, Eugene F. Oviatt, birth Certificate, his mother was Eunice C. Hall, was 37 at the time of his birth (Oct 29, 1870, Watertown, Litchfield Co., CT). She was from Waterbury, and she married my great great grandfather, Dwight P. Oviatt on February 9, 1851, in Watertown, Litchfield Co., CT. Dwight was born in Watertown, the son of Joseph M. Oviatt and Amanda Northrop. Although, the marriage of Dwight P. Oviatt and Eunice C. Hall occured in Watertown, and the birth of their 7th child, Eugene F. Oviatt occured there, I suspect they may have moved elsewhere for at least part of the 19 years seperating the two events. The last letter I recieved from the records office in Watertown stated that they had no other information on Oviatts in their files. I would love to find out anything I can about the parents of Eunice, and especially her other children. My great grandfather, Eugene F. Oviatt, died 2 years after his son was born in 1893, and all contact with his side of the family was lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Robert G.
