Hi All, According to Jacobus- Families of Old Fairfield- a relative of mine Chauncey Merchant murdered his wife Hannah and drowned himself in a well on the same day in 1804. Would anyone know where I could find a record of these tragic deaths? Where would I find records of death? or crime reports? or a newspaper account?
