Hi all I have been lurking around this list for a while and have found it to be very interesting and helpfull. I am researching JARVIS primarily. I am aware of the book on the JARVIS family of Connecticut by George Jarvis and have it on order. Until then I am trying to find the marriage of an Elizabeth CHILDS to an ORD -- Arthur Blagrave/Craven Robert/William Botsford Jarvis/Edmund Theodore or Henry Guy, I am not sure which one she married. These are all male offspring from the marriage of Sarah Harriet JARVIS to Lewis William ORD. (Sarah Harriet JARVIS dau of William Botsford JARVIS UEL born 1799, Danbury, Fairfield, Connecticut, son of Stephen JARVIS of same. I understand that Elizabeth CHILDS is considered to be a Daughter of the American Revolution. However I am not sure how to proceed now. I know that the Jarvis family of York, Upper Canada and the Jarvis family of Connecticut remained in close contact despite the War of 1812 and the American Revolution. regards Vivien
