According to vital Records of Saybrook Colony: Pg. 575 Fourth Ecclesiastical Society 1812, 22 Sept Capt. Phinehas Warner aged in 64 year Pg. 566 Fourth Ecclesiastical Society 1799, Oct 17 Phinehas Warner Jr. to Lydia Clark - both of Chester. Pg. 576 Fourth Ecclesiastical Society 1819, June 8 Widow Eunice Warner (death record) I don't know about the Capt. status for Phinehas Warner. He may have just been a commercial fisherman or merchant as there were lots of them in the area due to Saybrooks close proximity to the ocean. I hope this helps. I'm not actually researching this line but I have he Vital Records of Saybrook Colony so I do lookups if I happen to notice that someone is looking in that area.
