hello Everyone, I am new to the group (joined today), and hope someone can help me find information concerning my 3rd great grandfather, Augustus Stone. he died in Vermont, but the records are in such poor condition, they are of little help. From his death records, I did find that he was born in 1802 ( around Oct. 14) in Hartford, Ct. The records state that he was the son of Eli ( or Ely) Stone. I have tried to send for the Hartford records, but have had no luck. I know there was a Rev. Ely Stone in Hartford at the time, but without and hard evidence, I don't know if this is the correct person. Thank you, Dave
