If anyone is out there who can provide some advice on the the following, please. My line of Henry S. Burnham looks to be descended from Joseph Burnham's son Rufus. I have searched as many public files as possible for birth information and cannot find anything on the birth of any of Rufus' and Sarah's children. In all the papers I have on Henry he states that he was born in CT but for one paper and it says Canada. What procedure's are needed to get ahold of a birth record from 1815 in CT. Are they stored at the state archives or at a town level?
