I am interested in finding the families of Brown who moved to Georgia in the late 1700s or early 1800s. I need a family contact in Conn. to help me with information on these heads of household. They may be related. They are: ALEXANDER BROWN b. CT Moved to Oglethorpe Co., GA. wife: Kisia kn children: William George and Isaac Alexander's will was probated in 1811. His wife, Kisia and Thomas R. Brown were executors of the will. WILLIAM F. BROWN b. CT 1784 Moved to GA. d. 1870-80 ALEXANDER D. BROWN b. 1800 CT Was in Bibb Co., GA when he married Emily Crawford (b. 1805 NC) on Feb. 9, 1825. There first child was WILLIAM F. BROWN b. Dec. 1825. d. 10-30-27. They had nine children. One of their sons b. 1846 was named WILLIAM F. BROWN. ALEXANDER D. BROWN lived in Bibb and Jones Co. GA Machinist. Also living with them in 1850 was Sarah Horne 34, b. NY and her children: Elizabeth age 3 b. GA and Samuel age 1 b. GA. Do not know this connection to the Brown family yet.
