The commencement of a new USGenWeb site for Norwich, New London Co., CT: Norwich, CT Genealogy http://home.att.net/~SGTAYLOR1/norwich.html Norwich was first settled in 1659 by Saybrook (now in Middlesex Co.) people led by John MASON and Rev. James FITCH. Sections of Norwich became the towns of Preston, Griswold, Borzah, Franklin, Lisbon and Sprague. Norwich people were some of the early settlers and founders of several Windham County towns. Most of its early families can trace their roots back to MA. Soooo Norwich should be of interest to many with CT and MA ancestral lines. 2. The USGenWeb project for Plymouth, Plymouth Co., MA has moved. It got too big thanks to the very successful Ancient Landmarks of Plymouth Project (ALPP) - online transcription of Part II, Genealogical Register, of Davis' Ancient Landmarks of Plymouth.
