Among others, the Thrall family in Windsor had a considerable amount of acreage in shade grown tobacco until a few years ago. The Wood Memorial Library & Museum, located on 783 Main St., South Windsor CT 06074, Tel. 860/289-1783 could be a source also. I visited for genealogy data and found them helpful. Carolyn
