Hi Abby, It seems that everyone in the "Milford" Tibbals had a daughter named Abigail. I haven't found any with a Theobold name, though. Is it possible it might have been a 1st marriage name? I have the book "Early Families of Milford, Connecticut" which is probably where I got most of my information from. Like you, my sources leave a lot to be desired. When I first started doing this, 30+ years ago, I knew nothing about the protocol and was just happy to find my lines. Eventually, I found my way into a genealogical society and have since learned a lot. Unfortunately, I have a lot of information that I have no idea where it came from. For instance, I have a Thomas Tibbals b. 1575, Ellesborough, Buckingham, Eng. m. Avis (?) as father of Thomas (the immigrant). I can't even imagine where that came from unless someone sent it to me. Anyway, if you can provide me with more information on your Abigail, perhaps I can unearth something for you.
