Hi, I am trying to find infor on my grgr grandfather Hiram Root. Hopefully the 1830 census will have him listed with wife Cornellia Smith . My gr grandfather Lewis Smith was born Sept 3 1831. In trying to track my Hiram, i have been totally cemented in. It seems Hiram was an extremely popular name then or he was a very busy man. I'm not sure which was the last census from which he disapppeared. Can anyone help me in trying to track my Hiram down. I gave up several years ago when my inability to hit the town hall circuit became clear to me.. I am now legally blind and it is quite difficult trying to sort through a lot of my old paperwork. Ginny, You have to give anyone more info then youhave listed. List everything you know: Last census, what state, what town or county,parents, ancestors, siblings, all dates - birth, marriage, death, etc, etc.. J Henry
