Hello Ginny and thanks for your input. This place likely closed decades ago and may have been a hospital/facility for unwed mothers and/or pregnant women, some who were in prison. A relative of mine recently came across a birth certificate that said a woman from a nearby prison had given birth to twins in 1942 at this facility. She stayed there for 4 months. The name is exactly as written on the b.c., Ida MS Thompson Hospital, no clue what the MS stands for. Our family lore says a woman in our family gave birth to a child while in prison (back in the 1930's or '40's) and we were wondering if this may have been the location. Margaret
