I don't know if this will help but I found an Ida Thompson, nurse with the Visiting Nurse Assoc at 35 Church St, r. 25 Blackhall in the 1923 New London City Directory The owner of the property was listed as Mrs. Elizabeth M. Buckley In the 1930 Groton Directory, there was an Ida J. Thompson listed in the Groton Classified section under Nurses - Graduate & Practical, at 80 Mitchell St Ext. If there is a directory only for Lyme, maybe you can find it there.
