Carole, Does the book have any mention of Holmes in it. I am searching for any mention of my 3rd and 4th great-grandparents. My 3rd great-grandparents were Joseph Holmes and Lucy Morgan. Joseph was born abt. 1837 or so to William Holmes and his wife. Joseph was a Civil War veteran. Joseph and his wife, Lucy, had 6 children. Two of their sons were Frank J. Holmes, born in 1852, and William. Frank was my ggreat-grandfather. I was just wondering if there is any mention of our family name of Holmes. I also have ancestors who were some of the first settlers in this state of CT. Some of these are: Parmalee (Guilford), Chapman (New London), Morgan, Brainerd, Deming, Elton, Gregory, Goodall, Burr, Fowler, Churchill (from Josiah Churchill), Griswold, Kelsey, Church, Harriet Beecher Stowe was my 6th cousin.
