I am researching (still) Cunninghams married into Demings or into Gaylords. Surely someone knows something that help me find Erastus Brainerd Cunningham b 1797 Hartford m. Salome Deming. Erastus had a sister Lucy and they both were students in Colchester under Elisha Niles. Erastus had a shop on Asylum street where in 1820 and 1830 he was listed as a silversmith. I know he had a daughter Mary who died quite young or at birth. He's listed on a land deal with Elisha Flowers and others in the Hartford area. Could he be the son of Harvey Cunningham? I'd appreciate any help or contact with a researcher able to do more dedicated research. Thanks. --- On Mon, 10/27/08, Catherine <catmensi@comcast.net> wrote: From: Catherine <catmensi@comcast.net> Subject: Re: [CT] List of my Connecticut surnames To: genconnecticut@rootsweb.com Date: Monday, October 27, 2008, 7:22 PM I am searching and have been searching my William Swan Wells. HI Cheryl I sent you a couple of things on Erastus Brainerd from the hartford Courants---but couldn't find one ending in Cunningham. Couldn't find any of the people you mentioned. How frustrating for you. I did print out a copy of your interests and will take it with me when I go out on research.
