Hello, Quite by chance, early this morning, I found out that a List Administrator for four of the Lists in New England passed away on September 4, 2005. Cynthia ABBOTT, probably most well-known for her work on the MA-BAY-Colony List had the e-mail address [email protected] It was her husband who e-mailed me this morning because of a query I posted to the MEPENOBS List. And he told me about her heart attack. He is "deleting" all e-mails to Cynthia's e-mail-box, so you will need to find another way to offer your sympathy to her family. John told me that her obituary was published in the "Springfield Republican" (MA) on September 6th, and I was able to locate it: \ -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cynthia L. Abbott Cynthia L. Abbott 1944 - 2005 MONSON - Cynthia L. (Frazier) Abbott, 61 of Palmer Road died Sunday, September 4, 2005. Born in Greenfield to Harold and Winifred (Drown) Frazier she grew up in Northfield and was a graduate of the American School for the Deaf in West Hartford, CT. She was employed by the U.S. Post Office and had recently retired. Cynthia had a special love of genealogy. She leaves her husband of 40 years John L. Abbott; http://www.legacy.com/CommonCobrand/PrintNotice.asp?Cobrand=MASSLIVE&PersonID=15019430 I don't know how many Lists that Cynthia belonged to, so please feel free to pass this information along to other Lists which you know she was active on. The New England genealogy world has lost someone very important to our research ! Betty (near Lowell, MA)
