Thank-you for your offer of help. I would like to know if there are any men by the name of William Holmes or any HOLMES in general. I have hit a brick wall after William Holmes who was born abt. 1802 and died 26 April 1874 in Wethersfield, CT. Some say he was a son of Ethan Holmes, (born abt. 1780 and died 22 January 1812), and his wife, Christiana Blin. We do know that William was married first to Eliza Belden, my 4th great-grandmother. One of their sons, Joseph Holmes, was my 3rd great-grandfather and he was married to Lucy Morgan. MORGAN is the other surname we have hit solid brick with. Lucy's parents were Challenge Morgan and Eliza Brainerd. I have tons of info for the Brainerd side but nothing for her husband, Challenge. Thank-you so much for your time. God bless! Rolande Gay
