Hello   I am looking for any descendants of Captain Samuel Pond and Elizabeth Beaumont.   Samuel Pond was b. December 7, 1823 in Branford, son of Eliphalet Pond.   There is a log from his ship, the Charles H. Sprague - 1883 that documents his death.  He died from injuries during a storm.  The log continues after his death.   entries are in quotes.  actual spelling below is from the log entries.  Storm - NC shores Wednesday, Nov. 28,. 1883 Captain "inwardly hurt" by storm Thursday, Nov. 29, 1883 "Capt. dide by ____of his hurt inwardly"  (sorry, I can't read my own writing) Friday Nov. 30th, 1883 "at 3:30 PM bearied the Capt. at 10 PM made Cape Hatteras Light"   Please e-mail me if you are interested in more information from the log and/or descend.   Thank you.
