Try using the message board for New Haven County, Connecticut. Naugatuck and Waterbury are both in New Haven County. Find out if someone can look it up for you. What specific information are you looking for? At the same time include the census information you have found---names, dates, places. Give strangers to your family something to work with. Sometimes when people give me enough information, and they need something I can easily get, I will take an hour a do the task. When and if I do this, depends upon my schedule and if I have the time. You have her date of death. You can get a copy of her death certificate. When I have really been stuck, I have contacted a local genealogy society and asked is there was a member of thier society who would be willing to retrieve what I need from a library or local town records. Maybe someone would help you. In exchange, the genealogy society usually asks for a donation. I figure, if I am going to have to pay someone to do the work, I might as well send the money to a genalogy society. One thing I believe very strongly in, is that if I want others to help me. I should be willing to give some of my time helping others. I will check the postings of a person to see how serious are they about their research. I have had people help me because I was generous in sharing the information I had. My discovery; Relatives don't respond because they recognize my ancestor, They respond because they recognize their ancestor in my posting. And I give them several names, dates and places to recognize. The obituary might also be available in a Waterbury paper. Don't overlook contacting the Waterbury and Naugatuck public libraries. It does not hurt to ask? Your posting on the Unknown board was forwarded to the GenConnecticut Rootsweb Mailing list. This routine now for many Rootsweb message boards. Messages are forwarded to relevant Rootsweb mailing lists. Hope some of this helps. Marilyn CT I don't live near that part of the state.
