Hello everyone I'm new to this list and trying to identify a Charles CROMACK who appears in the Waterbury censuses of 1860 and 1870, who may or may not be the brother of my gt gt grandfather. I thought I might be able to find his father's name from his marriage records, and sent off for a film of Bristol Vital Records through the LDS family history centres, but unfortunately the microfilm doesn't give any more information than the Barbour Book does, i.e. Charles Cromack of New Hartford married Betsy Radcliffe of Bristol on October 17, 1852, in Bristol by D. Ives. Is it possible to get a copy of the marriage certificate and would this give the father's name? Is there a way of finding out any other information, such as date or place of birth more specific than "England" which would help to prove whether or not he is one of my relatives? Many thanks in advance to anyone who can point me in the right direction.
