My relatives were Macedonian-roumanians and their languages were Aromanian,Albanian,Turkish and Greek, because Albania was temporary occupied by Turkey and Greece(in different times). The great grandfather Naum Topali might have had his family greek, that emigrated in Korce-Albania because the persecutions made by the turkish occupiers, and great grandmother,Eftalia Topali, was macedo-romanian(aromanian)from the region Moskopole-Korce.Their children emigrated after years in USA and Romania. The relatives I am looking for are my grandmothers(mother of mother) nephews. The informations I have are from my mother and grandmother(both are dead),and they couldnt keep in touch with the relatives that have gone in other countries. I inform you that I try to find my relatives that came to America and that arrived initially in BOSTON,MA and then spread in other states from the U.S.For this reason I have posted announcements on some boards, and I dared to ask for help at some persons that know how to search some public information. HI Alan Just wondering if you got some Bostwick info that I sent to you from the old Hartford Courants. Sometimes they don't go thru right from the site so if you don't have them--let me know and I will see if I can resend them. Not sure if they are yours or not but worth a try. Internet archives is not specifically a genealogy site. It is a site that stores scanned books (web sites, videos, music, etc.). You can search the text (books) for whatever you are looking for. I have found ornithology and other nature books, as well as many to the NEGHS vital records books for towns of Massachusetts. Rhode island vr's are there. It is not a database site where one can search for information on an individual unless the is a book about them. There are many family genealogy books. These books must be downloaded to your computer as pdf (or other formats) and you search the book for the info you want. Basically they are putting books online that are out of copyright and making them available to anyone that wants them. -----Original Message----- From: genconnecticut-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:genconnecticut-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Maprout@aol.com Sent: Sunday, November 09, 2008 8:51 PM To: genconnecticut@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [CT] Research resources Hi Dot !
