Hello All... I am new here to the Mailing List. I would like to get lookups, exchange records, and make connections. Personally, I have errected a Family Records and Archives Web Site in behalf of this mailing list and those in it with regards to my very large family Genealogy of the geographical area here pertaining to the WHITE and McNEESE families, which obviously has something to do with this thread. It includes records on Surnames, Genealogies, Histories, Ancestries, births, marriages, deaths, immigration, wills, military, divorces, children, etc. I hope to go into more specifics with you in the near future about it. It is a contribution to the areas, Counties, Countries, Names, and Histories to many locations. Try it out and take a look at it. If you find anything worthwhile then let me know and if you can contribute further to it then let me know. Someone in your family might be listed here. Try doing a look up for further information on connections. There are over 8000 individuals listed and over 1900 Surnames listed. (Too many to list them all here in this mailing list so take a look to see if your family is listed here) I wish that I could list all the information here at one time that pertains to this thread but it is so vastly large that I can only contribute parts at a time. So, in the meantime, I am sending the Web Site in whole as it is very huge. So please view it at this time while you can and Bookmark it if you will. http://members.spree.com/sip/palisades/history.htm Constance
Hi everyone! I have started the Connecticut Biographies Project (a part of the US Biographies Project) I am currently in need of some help!! If you have a biography of a Connecticut ancestor (any county) and would like to share it with the Connecticut Biography project, or if you have a book containing biographies (no longer copyright protected--pre 1922) and would like to submit them please let me know! Also, I currently need county coordinators! Every county is available. If you are interested please go to the Connecticut Biography site and take a look around! http://www.jolts.com/ctbios/ Thanks! Perhaps someone on the list can help me locate a town which appeared in the 1810 Federal Census for Conn. I'm am searching the SCOTT family and I understand there was a SCOTT listed in SARA on Page 245. I haven't seen the page, but I am hoping to learn if SARA is a town which goes by a different name now/ does anyone have the 1810 census and would be willing to check out page 245. Is there anyone on the list researching the SCOTT family? I'm looking for Rev. Tracy Scott who died Feb 21, 1879.
Hello All, I would like to thank all the "well wishers" for their kind thoughts. To those that know where Reardan is, Bravo! For those who would like to know more about where I am going and what I do, sorry can't tell ya. A special thanks to Ted, I would not want to bring the server down with all the mail you all send. I will be unsubscribing in a few days from my lists 'til I get back. So if you all would be so kind as to go check my web page to see specific names that I would be interested in you could email me personally instead of through the lists. I know there are people out there that have info I want! So 'til I return you all keep diggin' for info. Hello All, My presence has been requested by President William Clinton to participate in behalf of the Kosavors. So I am going away on an extended vacation to beautiful Europe. Since this is a all expenses paid trip I will stay until I am sent home. I undoubtedly will have lots of mail to look at when I return. Try to keep whatever you post pertaining to my area of research so I will not have to weed out the info I don't presently require. If you can't follow these simple rules go ahead and post it anyway. I would hate to hold up everyone else's research on my account. Bon Voyage, Ron Bundy Spokane,WA(actually Reardan but no one knows where that is) web page<http://www.bigfoot.com/~rbundy> rbundy@unforgettable.com ICQ 4792307

Linda, Litchfield County was founded in 1751; county seat was Litchfield. I'll send you a gif pic of CT at that time by private email. I was wondering if anyone might knew whether there was a Litchtown CT. at the time of the 1790 census? If there was, where might it be?? Thanks, Linda
Copies of Vital Records may be obtained from the town hall where the birth, marriage or death took place. These are not the records being copied, only the duplicates of them in the State Vital Records. Originals stay with the town halls. Copies are $5.00 each, and please include a SASE. Make sure you include a note stating they are for genealogical research. If the record is for a living person you will need written permission of that person to get the record. Give as much info as possible if you don't have exact dates. Our town clerks have more to do then search old books to feed our hobby. Good luck, Kathy **************** New England Genealogy Home page http://pages.prodigy.net/kathyb/home.htm
After learning much about my long ago Saybrook, CT ancestors, I now need recent (1924) birth record of my deceased sister from Stamford, CT. and the marriage of my deceased parents which may or may not have occurred in CT in 1922-23. I read somewhere that CT was in the process of microfilming and records would be difficult to obtain? I am in California so can't go in person for documents. If data is available now....what address and how much money should I send for each document? Thanks in advance. Jeanne

Dear people, I am searching for the ancestors of: Huldah B. SEDGWICK b ca 1806 d 17Jul1835 bur Newington CT, m 7Mar1826 Wethersfield CT Henry KILBOURNE (b 15Jun1799 Newington CT d 18Apr1873 bur Newington) Huldah is important to me for 2 reasons: my middle name is Sedgewick, and family stories indicate we are connected with earlier SEDGWICKs in Hartford county, and other parts of Connecticut and Massachusetts. In fact I've found about 650 SEDGWICKs and their relations in Connecticut alone. But my information doesn't show the relationship between Huldah SEDGWICK and all those others, so I can't "claim" them (yet). I am traveling from Washington State to the Hartford area in early June for an Elderhostel on the history of CT towns and 5-6 days of research. Have lots of info on where/how to search in CT, especially at the CT State Library and a local researcher with whom to consult. And perhaps some of you have specific information about my "stone wall". Of course I am willing to share any info I have on these lines. Thank you for considering my request. Anne Sedgewick Hartley
