It seems that we all have one; an ancester who just won't give us their surname. Perhaps one of you will recognize my Jemima. Isaac Osborn, Jr. b 1734, Somers, CT; d 1782, Springfield, MA he was the son of Isaac Osborn and Mary Kibbe Isaac married Jemima ????? issue: Jemima b 1758, Somers, CT; m. Ashbel Fox, Sr Isaac Jr b 1760, Springfield, MA; m. Anne ? Azuba b 1762, Wilbraham, MA; d 1764, Springfield, MA Azuba b 1765, Wilbraham, MA Beulah b 1768, Wilbraham, MA; m Allen Benjamin, Sr [my line] Jacob b 1773, Wilbraham, MA Lemuel b 1777, Springfield, MA upon the death of her husband, Jemima m. James Griffin. They moved to NY and lived with her daughter Jemima Fox. upon the death of their father, the minor children were made wards of Israel Robinson. the court records that I have seen do not detail the relationship of Israel to the children. upon the death of Israel the children apparently inherit an estate from him???????? Does anyone here have any clues. Isaac Osborn BTW is the son of John Osborn and his 2nd wife, Martha Ellsworth regards susan moore windsor, ct smoorect@aol.com

You can view it at the library, but I suspect that it isn't allowed to be circulated to FHC's. (This would be the decision of the owner of the copyright, not the Church.) Joe Broom

Cheers, Marg >> hi Marg , I hate to be a spoil sport , but , this Hannah and John are some other family ! ...... I spent all day yesterday in the Seattle Library working with the Genealogist on staff and the Vital record book they have , We came to the conclusion that Hannah Arnold of Hartford Conn. and John Mason of Hartford did in fact get married , And they are mine !!! ...... When I got home and got my E-mail I found a copy of the Will of John Mason of Hartford in it , which gives the maiden name of his wife , and her mother ' Elizabeth Arnold ' nee Osborne ...... So my troubles are over , Except , Now I need to find the parents of this John Mason ... which I think might be in the Church records for Hartford , Their out there some where , LDS has only the index , which you saw ! , I found a referance to them , which says ' CHL ' , this must mean " Connecticut Historical Library " , My next stop , Phil
