As I said in my original post, I had thought that James Gibbons, Sr. and Judith Lewis were Elizabeth's parents, but as I now believe they were married circa 1646, it would be kind of hard for Elizabeth and Luke to marry circa 1642. So, now I am left without knowing exactly who the parents were. In addition, now I know that James and Judith had a daughter named Elizabeth who was born April 23, 1652 in Saco, Maine. That Elizabeth married a John Sharp, Nov. 14, 1667, Saco, Maine. Thought: Elizabeth Gibbons was about the right age to be James' sibling? But I don't know anything about James' family. I am confused about the parents of Elizabeth Gibbons that married Luke Hitchcock, Sr. before 1642 (New Haven) when their first child was born (in Wethersfield). I thought her parents were James Gibbons, Sr. and Judith Lewis of Saco, Maine but as they were married circa 1646 in Saco, Elizabeth would naturally be too old for their child.
