My mother's cousin, Foster Schreeder, the brother of Elizabeth Schreeder Jones, did extensive research on the Lane family(his maternal line, and my mother's paternal line). Foster was from New York, but lived in Connecticut for much of his life. Our last contact with Foster was at least 30 years ago, and I believe he may have been in his sixties at the time. I am hoping someone out there will know the family. I have been unable to trace the Lane family back to New Hampshire and Scotland, as Foster did, and I am hoping his research still exists.
