There was a recent posting about a good/fantastic/whatever book site. Here are a couple more sites that have large collections of books and journals online to read and/or print out pages. They are part of a program call Making of America (MOA) at currently in progress at Cornell University and the University of Michigan. http://moa.cit.cornell.edu/MOA/ and/or http://www.umdl.umich.edu/moa/ Good luck, Jack, Indianapolis J4777EA@aol.com

Hello Ct. researchers, It's been awhile since my last posting for the marriage record for Adeline or Delia HURLBURT to Hiram HAWXHURST. She was born in North Manchester, Ct. as I have been told by other researchers. She was marr. to Hiram before 1836 as they had a dau. Sarah Jane born 1836. I believe she may have died before 1862 because Hiram later marr. Hannah M. LEONARD & had another family. It could be that Hiram & Delia had a son named Hiram HAWXHURST who was the Hiram that marr. Hannah LEONARD. I have found many HURLBURT/HURLBERT families in Ct. & many HAWXHURST or other spelling. names in N.Y. during the 1700/1800 period. No luck so far trying to sort out the names I have to get any connections. Thanks in advance for any help in my search. Ed Jones New Palestine, In.
There is a genealogical magazine now published called, The Genealogist. I had always heard glowing things about it, and subscribed a few months ago. I was disappointed, but maybe others wouldn't be. It is published a couple times a year and is now published by Picton Press of Maine. I think Picton Press probably has a web page.
