    3. Please can anyone advice me as to how I can stop those wretched pop-up ads from appearing all over the place on my screen? I have set my pop-up blocker on both Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer but still the darn things appear. Any advise will be gratefully received. Noreen

Since I usually don't get them, I presume they are from one specific site that has a good system to push the popups so you may have to use some other means like editing the host file. Be hereby reminded that some sites require pop-ups -- that is, the site content is provided a sort of pop-up -- and if you completely disable pop-ups, those sites are a waste of your time. I believe the Ellis Island site is one of 'em. FWIW and ICYC. Cheryl
