    3. I did backups of all my families on the Legacy 6.0 program and today when I attempted to transfer the zip files on to my new computer, I was unable to do so. I get a message stating : "you are trying to open a Legacy Family File that requires a newer build of Legacy" I am quite happy with my program as is. I require advice please. Many thanks, Maud Flink

It sounds like you have an older version of Legacy on your new computer. You should first get the latest Legacy update and then try "restoring" using the backup (.zip) that you copied to your new pc. -- Dennis

    3. As you have installed Legacy on your new computer it has a version dated from the day you got the file for installation - either on CD or by download. When you were using it on your old computer did you get the upgrades that it prompted you to download? You will then have a later version than the install one. If so you have files made with a later version of Legacy than the install file that you put on your new computer. You will need to allow Legacy to upgrade the version on your new PC so that the version is the same as the one on your old computer. Remember Legacy upgrades are free - only new versions need to be paid for. You will then be able to open the old files.
