This kind of software won't allow someone to have on the same computer both the editor (Adobe Acrobat) and the reader (Acroread). And I can printscreen any single page or half page. Not efficient when I can find long lists. My project is to complete a database of parishes in French dioceses and provinces. For that purpose, I look for books having this kind of lists. Some dioceses are rather easy to process (a part of France has a list of all parishes) but I just can't find lists easy to process so I try to do it indirectly. I already can use books from the French national library in usable PDF format but they are not text searchable like the Google books. I have a similar project for German places. Both projects are for places in 1600-1800 period. I can read the google books when I am in Linux but not in Windows 98. I have multiple versions of both Acrobat Reader and Adobe Acrobat Professional installed on my computer. They all work just fine. Only one application can be set as the default application for PDFs, but you can force a file to open in your choice of app by selecting "Open With" (shift-Right click) or by running the application first, then opening the file through the File > Open menu selection. The main problem you will have is that Adobe stopped supporting Windows 98 somewhere around Acrobat 5 or 6. Regards, -David
