I found a 2 for dBase II, a 3 for dBase III and something very different for either Foxbase or Clipper. I presume a recent software will recognize the various fields if you want to import such a database. As for the index files, they are all different with different formats and extensions. I would suppose they are not necessary if you only want to import/recycle data.
