Intel Macs run all known Intel compatable OS either as an alternate via Bootcamp or better simultaneously as a Virtual machine I use WinXP sp2 on Parallels 3.0 on Mac OS 10.4.11 any experienced windows user will cope with this on older Macs the Windows emulator is very slow and should be abandoned as heritage software I went the VM route because I could not find any Mac OS geenalogy program as good as FTM 16 the easiest way for him to read your .ged files is for you to upload them to WorlfConnect freebie http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=hughw36 and http://wc.rootsweb.com/ I send all my geneseunited enquirers there too and any browser will do the job if you want passwords and privacy (bad idea becasue sharing helps lost cousins find you) use http://tribalpages.com/ >> TribalPages has over 175,000 Family Trees. Search for Ancestors in our database of over 80 million names and 2 million photos. but >> RootsWeb's WorldConnect Project Global Search Names: 521,426,242 Surnames: 4,798,829 Databases: 412,828 << http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi Hugh W -- For genealogy and help with family and local history in Bristol and district http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Brycgstow/ http://snaps4.blogspot.com/ photographs and walks GENEALOGE http://hughw36.blogspot.com/ MAIN BLOG
